Sadly everything you're heard about Ryanair is true; they will blatantly lie to your face about hidden charges and then refuse to even enter dialog about it - awful company, really hope karma exists because they're screwed
Never every fly using these crappy cheap airlines. Their system didn't work and they won't refund!!!
Worst customer service that wasn't available last 1 year

We went to board a flight to Athens form PLF filled few days ago but no confirmation received.
on the form itself the Greek goverment stated you can board if you have filled the form.
Staff were ignorant and rude she refused to read the email from PLF about 20 person left behind.
Will never ever fly with Ryanair anymore.
If I could give no stars I would, what an absolute joke of a company!
I sent an email nearly a month ago, no reply.
Spoke to someone on the phone when my holiday was cancelled in October to get a refund, I got told the flight was still going ahead regardless of the travel restrictions and the fact my family with an infant and a pregnant wife had no accommodation (the hotel closed due to covid) and no return flight (EasyJet cancelled their flight and refunded no questions asked) I was told that I HAD to board the flight or I wouldn't get a refund. Obviously I argued the fact that I had nowhere to stay while there and no return flight but the guy at Ryanair's attitude was disgusting and very rude. I didn't board the flight for this reason and for protecting my family for going to an unknown country with nowhere safe to stay, I'm to lose out on the money I paid for the flight.
This company cares not for their customers, only their pockets. I'd rather hitchhike with a serial killer than even consider using this joke of a company.
I hope the fat cats of the company go under!
When they cancelled my flight they told me I can reschedule it for free. However I then get charged for cabin baggage when I already paid for it!! I tried to contact them but couldn't get through! Appalling service!
I wasn't going to bother asking for a refund but couldn't believe how easy it was to get a cash refund on flights cancelled due to Covid. Accepted a voucher but after a year I wanted a refund. Filled in a very short claims form, was kept up to date with progress and received cash in bank in around a week. Great service. Easiest refund I've claimed

Flight cancelled 20/03/20 Ref Number T769VG been chasing a cash refund since, endless calls live chat emails still nothing.Filled in customer verification form 20th Nov had reply saying accepted and a cheque would be sent out,14th Dec email saying no cheque sent would be refunded to card when booking was made. Now 2/04/21 still no refund no reply to emails and chat ends when making enquiry about refund. I also listened to Mr O'Learly of Ryanair on GMB TV saying all refunds have been paid ! a complete liar. It is a pity this pandemic did not end the business they do not deserve to keep trading how they can keep getting away with not refunding customers is appalling
Their unfortunate "Jab and Go" ad campaign struck a chord. Yet another strike against this morally corrupt company.
I made a promise 2 years ago that I'd never fly with RyanAir again and I intend to keep it.
I booked and paid for 3 sets of flights for myself and 2 family members. Then, I end up needing to go to hospital on the weekend that the flights were happening. The flights wouldn't be for another two months, so I fill out their form that claims to refund in the event of serious illness. My situation was that. I needed this surgery and it was going to be happening. At the time, I had heard that RyanAir are very bad at refunding or giving vouchers if you need to cancel flights, but I thought I'd chance it since the form was there.
The reply I got back was just terrible. I am not exaggerating. The cretin who responded to my email treated me like I was the kid with glasses in a schoolyard full of bullies. "You will not get refunded or a voucher under any circumstances. We never give refunds." She went on to write two full paragraphs that felt like she was belittling me for having the cheek to fill out that form. I felt upset because I was already emotionally vulnerable because I was dreading what was going on in my life. So I send her a reply asking her why she felt the need to be so rude, and she could have just said "sorry, we can't give you a voucher or refund" and leave it at that. Why make someone feel so small.
Instead of answering my question she responds saying "there is no way that you are getting a refund, so there is no point in sending more messages." Seriously, what on Earth?
So I email her back saying that I did not ask again for a refund, I was addressing her rudeness. I said that I would never fly with RyanAir ever again. I know O'Leary says that people say this, then fly with them again. I won't and haven't. It's been a couple of years...
Given the attitude of the woman via email, I would rather fly with Aer Lingus from now on. I've flown with them a few times already and they're honestly much nicer to deal with, and they don't treat their customers like begging scum.
I am giving 4 starts only and only bc they have so far the best airtickets prices! The customer support its poor. And Ryaair's staff are rude. I sew that at the airport when I was travelling in Berlin and Morocco also. Really bad attitude I do t know even why...!
Appalling customer service. Outrageous company policy. Useless Airline. Strongly recommend you avoid this company
This Company more or less stole my money. I bought a ticket with them to go to Lanzarote hen the cover lockdown happened and despite the fact that I only bought the ticket because they offered that you could change your ticket for free they refused to do this and I have lost all my money.
Due to Covid 19 my joint family holiday had to be cancelled, as my mother in law's flights were cancelled, and she was unable to meet us as planned.
Ryanair allow you to change a booking from one flight to another, with a small flight change fee. I asked Ryanair customer services if, given the circumstances, the money that I had paid for my booking could be refunded as a voucher, minus the usual transfer fee. In that way we could effectively change the flight, with that flight change fee already taken into account, at a later stage. Therefore we could rebook when there was more certainty about quarantine etc.
The answer was that we could have no voucher, and the money would be lost if I didn't go online and choose a different flight right now. It seemed a technicality that was there to be used unfairly against customers who are no more to blame for Covid 19 than the flight company. The outcome would be the same, in principle, if I changed a flight now, or used that reduced voucher to book a flight at a later date.
The voucher would either have been used, and extra money would be probably required on top for the new flights, or the voucher would not be used in the end if we didn't book with them again. Ryan Air would either gain extra money at later point, or lose nothing, by letting me delay my option on changing flights. I also would have felt better about using them in the future than I am currently feeling.
As someone who has flown on Ryan air on roughly eighty occasions, I would have hoped for better customer service, and some common sense.
In the past if Ryan air were a fair priced option I would normally use them, as opposed to paying a little more for a different airline. If this is their final word on it then I would pay a little more to avoid using Ryanair in the future.
